Signs Your Relationship Might Be Ending | Pink and Black Magazine

By Shanae Bass | Relationships Intern

?All good things must come to an end.? That?s what they say, but that saying means nothing at all until you find it happening to you and your relationship. Signs of changes in your relationship could just be a temporary rough patch, but in the worst case, it may be coming to an end. Here are some signs that may help you consider the direction of your relationship.

1.) Lately, you realize that you enjoy your freedom and ?alone time? a little more than you probably should. This could mean that you don?t enjoy the company of your boyfriend the way that you used to. Red flag.

2.) Suddenly, your significant other is not so significant anymore. The two of you are consistently making plans that no longer include each other. You?ve gone out a few times and forgot to mention that you were in a relationship. Oops! Another red flag.

3.) Meaningless arguments are the most communication that you two seem to have lately. Every couple have quarrels here and there, but not over everything. If quality time together seems to create more of an issue than anything, it may be time to separate.

4.) You?re the only one who cares. Feeling alone in your relationship is never a good sign. Leaving one person to carry the burden of making it work is a dead give away that the other person has stopped caring about the fate of the relationship.

5.) The sweet ?good morning? and ?goodnight? texts have come to a complete halt, you two rarely speak, and the only information you have on your boyfriend?s life is via Facebook and Twitter updates. Of course, if you are in a long-distance relationship, the facts might be different.

6.) Things between you two have gotten more serious and less enjoyable. Harmless jokes sound like insults. His cute little imperfections you once loved are now obnoxious shortcomings. Little things seem to bug you more often than they should.

If these apply to your relationship, it could be headed towards a dead end. Talk your problems out with your boyfriend and see what is going on and discuss what each of you want with the relationship. Communication is always key so start talking today.
