I want to take a second to ask all of you to think about the unsung heroes that are Foster Parents. I have two friends that are foster parents, one of them who became blessed with getting two?wonderful?little boys to adopt. They both go through so much opening their home up to children who need a stable house and love. Whether it is just for a week or for months at a time both of these families provide a safe?environment?for children who in some ways have suffered.
There are so many reasons for children to be put into foster homes, to many to even list, and good foster homes are far and few. You never hear about the good ones, it always seems like you hear about the ones that abuse the system for that pay check. Which is why I want to ask you to just take a few minutes to think about foster families and the children that are in their homes. The ultimate goal is to either get the parents help so they children can return home or find them a family placement, but that isn?t always possible.
I know my friends open not only their homes, but their hearts when they welcome these children into their houses. They deal with so much while caring for the children, from normal colds to court dates, visitations, and therapy sessions. There are so many hoops they must jump through to become certified to make sure these children are being put into wonderfully caring homes. But?they?also go through so much emotional ups and downs in which they are not suppose to talk about it. I can not imagine what they go through but I hope they both know I am always here for them. In my eyes they are wonderful mothers and they both are amazingly strong women.
I ask you to just take a second to think about these unsung heroes, these mothers ?and fathers who take in children, love them as they are their own and give them a safe place until they are able to go back with their parents or find their forever home. Ask your self is there something you can do to help these families, do you know any?
Dave and I donate to the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition here in St. Louis. We do this because Dave?s grandma fostered her great?grandchildren?until she was approved to?adopt?them. ?This is something that is dear to his heart and because of my two friends has become dear to mine. If you are in the St. Louis area and would like to donate you can use the button below.

So again, please take a moment in your day to send some good vibes and/or prayers to all the foster families out there. They do so much and rarely get the thanks they deserve. So thank you M&JW and J&JT for doing what you do and caring for children who are in need of a loving home and loving parents!! You guys are always in our prayers.
